A little fantasia written for Carl Rosman on the occasion of his fiftieth birthday, the durational structure spiraling outwards from the series of integers denoting his date of birth (13-3-1971) and the pitches from the opening material of my 2008 bass clarinet duet Apostrophe 1 (All communication is a form of complaint), the occasion of our first work together.
